Jali Care is an innovative, evidence-based training and capacity-building initiative led by the Ribbon Rouge Foundation. It was created in response to findings from the national Journey Mapping Across Canada Project, which revealed deep inequities and systemic barriers faced by Black 2SLGBTQIA+ youth in accessing inclusive, affirming, and culturally competent care.
Jali Care directly addresses these gaps by equipping service providers in both public and non-profit sectors with the tools and understanding needed to better serve ACB 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals. Funded by the City of Edmonton (COE) under the Community Safety and Well-Being (CSWB) Initiative (2024–2026), this program is delivered as a charitable, community-serving project.
