Bring Your Voice to the Table

Join RRF’s Board
Ribbon Rouge Foundation (RRF) is a community-based non-profit organization in Alberta. At RRF, we work at the intersection of culture, community, health, and art to advance health equity for African, Caribbean, and Black (ACB) communities in Alberta, including those affected by HIV, STBBIs, and health inequities. Grounded in community leadership, anti-oppressive practice, and culturally responsive approaches, we use creative expression, trusted programs, and advocacy to drive social change.
Your lived experience, community connections, and ideas can help shape healthier, more equitable futures. We invite you to join our Board of Directors and guide community-led changes alongside supportive advocates.
Bring your strengths.
We welcome lived expertise or experience in:
- Governance and Board Leadership (policy development, compliance, strategic oversight)
- Risk Management, Strategic Planning or Human Resources
- Fundraising, Grant Writing, or Non-Profit Management
- Social Work / Human Services and Community Engagement (community-based practice, trauma-informed care)
- Arts (ACB arts, culture and related programming)
- HIV and STBBI Knowledge (prevention, treatment, care, and community engagement)
The commitment: Approximately 3 hours per month, mostly virtual meetings, and a renewable three-year term. Based in Edmonton, Alberta.
We especially encourage Edmonton residents who identify as African, Caribbean, or Black to apply, including women, 2SLGBTQIA+ people, people living with HIV, and members of other equity-deserving communities.
Help shape what comes next.
